In addition, the forklift terminal convinces with its Android operating system. In addition to its user-friendly interface, it guarantees the user access to the many advantages of the Mobility Edge platform: less integration efforts, reduced costs and exceptional flexibility. For optimal performance, the Thor VM1A relies on a Qualcomm 660 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash. WLAN 5 and 2x2 MIMO ensure a permanent connection, as well as Bluetooth 5.0 (Low Energy) and NFC interfaces. Thanks to the intelligent docking system, the Thor VM1A can be moved from one vehicle to another in a few simple steps during operation. The powerful battery ensures power to all connections and applications for 30 minutes, increasing productivity and reducing downtime. The Thor VM1A is also rugged: it has been tested to MIL-STD-810F standards and is fully dustproof to IP66. It resists even short-term deluges, like a spilled glass of water. Additionally, it is optionally available in a resistive version with a built-in defroster for use in cold environments and freezers. Therefore, large temperature differences of -30 to +50 C in operation or -30 to +70 C in storage, as well as non-condensing humidity of 5 to 95%, pose no challenge for the vehicle terminal.
