The Datalogic Magellan 1500i is the ideal omnidirectional presentation reader for all point-of-sale terminals. Datalogic has equipped this compact and innovative reader with modern reading technology, including its patented "Green Spot" system. In addition to capturing hard-to-read, damaged or partially printed 1D and 2D barcodes, it also reliably and quickly captures digital barcodes displayed on smartphones or tablets (such as admission tickets and vouchers). As an option, the Magellan 1500i also reads Digimarc barcodes, making it an extremely versatile reader. The Magellan offers a reading range of up to 30 cm.

Thanks to its motion sensor, the Magellan 1500i instantly detects the entry of an object into its reading radius and automatically adjusts the light intensity for optimal capture. Simultaneously reduces glare and flicker, saving considerable time and increasing productivity.

Use the Magellan 1500i in handheld or presentation mode. If a product to be scanned is too heavy to lift, the Magellan 1500i instantly detects this and activates its LEDs to scan in handheld mode. Once placed on its base, it automatically returns to presentation mode.

Available in timeless black and white, the Magellan fits perfectly into businesses and shipping agencies, while enhancing elegant pharmacies and boutiques. Its compact size (6 x 7.5 x 10.6 cm) fits in the palm of your hand, an added advantage: ideal for points of sale with limited space.

Using the Datalogic Magellan 1500i is intuitive. Indicates successful scans with an audible signal and a status LED located on top. The connection is made via USB (HID or VCOM), OEM (IBM) and RS-232. IP52 certified, the Magellan 1500i withstands drops from 1.2 m and operates even in 95% humidity.
