The BIXOLON XD5-40 series consists of the XD5-40d (direct thermal), XD5-40tR and XD5-40t (thermal transfer) label printer models. All three models are well suited to versatile retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics applications, thanks to their range of reliable and robust performance the XD5-40d can also be used in laboratories and pharmacies, while the XD5-40tR additionally supports UHF RFID printing and encoding. Their maximum print speed is around 152mm/sec. for the XD5-40tR and XD5-40t, or 178 mm/sec. for the XD5-40d. Print resolution is either 203 dpi or high resolution 300 dpi, depending on the model. USB, USB host and, depending on model and requirements, serial, Ethernet, WLAN and Bluetooth interfaces ensure fast data processing of the BIXOLON XD5-40 series. The printers also feature a compact clamshell design with intuitive menu buttons and an optional LCD screen. A cutter and peeler can be installed on site, along with support for BIXOLON and BarTender (Seagull Scientific) label design software.
