Unlimited mobility: this was the central requirement when developing the Colormetrics C1000 mobile point-of-sale terminal. The result? A flexible, sophisticated and extremely user-friendly tablet ideal for retail, hospitality, warehousing and transportation.

The C1000 is not limited to mobile use, however. Thanks to its optional docking station, it can also be used permanently, for example at the cash register or as a warehouse computer. The upside? Need a mobile PC for certain applications? Simply remove the tablet from its docking station.

The C1000 is compatible with Windows and Android operating systems. For data transfer, it communicates with the network or cloud via Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and, optionally, NFC. For use outside the company or warehouse, an optional 4G (LTE) module is available. The tablet also includes GPS. Its memory can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The screen displays vibrant colors with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a brightness of 350 nits.

To expand the possibilities of using the C1000 mPOS, you can add an expansion case. This practical case protects the tablet and is available with various pre-installed accessories, such as a magnetic stripe and chip card reader, barcode reader, NFC or 4G module. So there is no need to purchase and connect additional peripherals: the user retains complete freedom of movement. With an additional battery (6,800 mAh), the autonomy is almost doubled.

Numerous interfaces allow you to connect external devices, such as printers and headphones. The tablet is equipped with a micro USB port, a micro SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack. The dock also includes an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, and a cash drawer port. An optional interface expansion allows you to choose from different combinations of 12 V or 24 V USB power, RS-232 port and microphone port. This means you can easily adapt the complete system to your specific needs.

Colormetrics is aware that mobile use exposes equipment to the risk of falling. Therefore, the optional extension cover is not only equipped with a practical wrist strap, but also protects the C1000 mPOS POS terminal with a robust housing: even falls from a height of 1.2 m pose no problem for it. If it gets dirty, the tablet's touch screen is easy to clean: the absence of buttons on the front prevents dust, crumbs and humidity from accumulating there.

The optional docking station saves considerable space thanks to its compact dimensions of 310 x 200 x 280 mm and offers optimal stability when used in a fixed position on the counter. With a weight of approximately 2.5 kg, it remains perfectly stable even in the event of a slight impact and offers optimal robustness for intensive use in commerce, the hotel and catering industry and logistics.

Used as a mobile terminal to scan products on shelves and on pallets, or as a fixed point of sale system with a removable tablet to support salespeople, the C1000 mPOS opens up a wide range of possibilities.
