The wired Datalogic QuickScan QD2500 is a highly reliable omnidirectional 2D imager for point-of-sale applications in retail, hospitality, healthcare and light manufacturing. It is particularly well suited to point-of-sale areas that have an increased need for 2D scanning and at the same time need to read mobile phone screens and customer cards. It quickly and reliably captures 1D, 2D, postal and Digimarc barcodes, even from screens. Its reading angle is +/- 65° and its movement tolerance is 30 IPS. For added security after each scan, the QuickScan QD2500 provides clear feedback. It consists of a beeper with adjustable volume and Datalogic's patented »Green Spot« technology. Additionally, built-in Motionix motion detection technology ensures a smooth transition between presentation scan mode and manual playback, and vice versa. The imager's selection of interfaces includes USB, USB-C, RS-232, and keyboard port (KBW). With these, integration into existing POS systems is much easier, and they offer virtually interference-free data transmission. The dimensions of the QuickScan QD2500 are 148 x 68 x 126 mm (L x H x D) with a weight of only 145 grams. So the imager fits comfortably in the hand and withstands a lot, thanks to its robust housing. Among other things, it is resistant to impacts from a height of up to 1.5 m and is protected against dust and water ingress in accordance with IP52 standards. Even operating temperatures of up to 50°C or storage temperatures of -40 to 70°C pose no problems. Depending on needs, Datalogic offers the imager in black or white. Additionally, it can be supplemented with various stands and other accessories.
