High efficiency and an attractive housing: the T-40 from Metapace proves that these two properties can be combined in a receipt printer. Measuring just 127 x 127 x 134 mm, there is always enough room for the device, even where other receipt printers feel cramped – for example, on a small shelf, in a cramped bar or on a counter with a minimalist design. It is therefore suitable for both retail and hospitality. The ticket exit is done either from the front or from above, depending on the option that best suits the workspace. Even the ticket roll can be inserted from the top or from the front, depending on requirements. With a diameter of 82.5mm, the large roller capacity ensures that changes are rare anyway. In the event of a paper jam, the entire paper feed mechanism is conveniently located under the cover. Despite its compact size, the Metapace T-40 achieves a printing speed of 250 mm/sec., with a resolution of 203 dpi and in grayscale. The results are texts, graphics, logos, barcodes as well as vouchers and more in convincing quality. The print width is 57.5, 80 or 82.5 mm. A fully automatic cutter is also integrated. The printer is compatible with Windows, Linux, OPOS and JPOS and is equipped with 2 MB of RAM and 4 MB of Flash memory. A wide range of sensors, including a paper end sensor, black mark recognition and print head temperature, always provide information on the status of the printer. By the way: the print head is also exchanged without much time or effort. This aspect also allows the T-40 to reduce interruptions to an absolute minimum.
