With the mPOP Star offers an innovative solution for next generation points of sale. The combination of a cash drawer and POS printer in a chic housing contains the two essential building blocks for point-of-sale use in retail and hospitality. With its compact dimensions of only 30 x 30 x 10 cm and integrated Bluetooth connectivity, the mPOP quickly finds its place among and on any desk and offers a stable connection to the POS application on any mobile device. mPOP supports all major operating systems such as Windows, Linux, iOS and Android, whether desktop or mobile. This opens up the possibility for waiters, for example, to serve customers with a single device at the table or at the checkout counter. The built-in printer with reliable Star printing mechanism delivers reliable printing at 100mm per second; it produces receipts, tickets and sales receipts up to 58mm wide. Changing media is simple: just exert light pressure on the front to open the printing unit. Thanks to an intuitive top-loading mechanism, the paper roll is changed in seconds and the checkout process can resume immediately. This maximizes the satisfaction of each waiting customer. The integrated cash drawer concept is designed to offer full functionality and flexibility: front exit, 4 vertical note holders, 6 or 8 removable coin compartments, an additional compartment for other notes and cancellation documents – all integrated into a compact glossy plastic housing. The electronic locking mechanism opens with software approval, so losing keys is now a thing of the past. The mPOP supports multiple mobile devices and provides 4 USB ports (2x 1.5A, 2x 0.5A) at the bottom, for charging smartphones, tablets, etc., or for other optional peripherals such as scanners, RFID readers or a Star SCD222 client display. Tablets of all kinds can be connected via the mPOP model with Bluetooth or USB-C. The mPOPCI USB model includes direct USB-C connectivity to iOS devices for data communication and charging. Cable management on the bottom side prevents cables from tangling. Delivery includes a power cable, a sample roll, a mounting option and a slim double-sided tablet and smartphone holder – quick installation is assured. Another practical feature of the Star mPOP is the optional security via a Kensington lock.
