The Zebra DS2208-HC is an ergonomic 2D scanner for all areas of healthcare. From patient wristbands and medication bottles to infusion bags and sample trays, with PRZM technology, the scanner captures 1D and 2D barcodes at any time without error and to user satisfaction. In order to always be able to rely on the scanner, even during intensive working days, Zebra has specially designed it to be robust. It withstands multiple impacts up to 1.5 meters and is IP52 certified against dust deposits and diagonally falling water drops. Additionally, the deeply recessed scanning window is scratch-resistant and the housing easily withstands regular cleaning with common disinfectants. Numerous interfaces guarantee good performance and high operational availability of the DS2208-HC: USB, RS-232, keyboard corner and RS-485. Another big advantage here is automatic cable recognition, which automatically selects the correct interface. The DS2208-HC allows you to quickly switch between presentation and handheld modes. For presentation mode, simply place the scanner in the presentation stand. Once recovered, it automatically switches to portable mode. Additionally, an innovative targeting line optically indicates the ideal distance between the scanner and the barcode during the scanning process. Successful scans are indicated by an acoustic tone and LED light. For noise-sensitive areas, the scanner has a “Do not disturb” mode. In this mode, light is projected onto the barcode to be captured, making it easy for the user to recognize a successful scan without any noise. The DS2208-HC is supported by Zebra OneCare and DataCapture DNA service offerings – for optimal support and easy handling.
