The Zebra DS4678 Bluetooth portable scanner is ideal for demanding scanning tasks in the retail and hospitality industries. It reliably and quickly captures 1D and 2D barcodes, whether printed on a label or displayed on a smartphone screen. The DS4678 also easily reads DotCode, DataMatrix, very small, dense or large barcodes. Optical character recognition (OCR) is used to capture data from identity cards and travel documents or to evaluate driver's license information for age verification, return checks, and loyalty and credit card applications. For its high scanning performance, Zebra equipped the DS4678 with an 800 MHz microprocessor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor and exclusive PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology. The 2,500 mAh battery ensures long operating times and allows up to 50,000 scans on a single charge, equivalent to over 13 hours of continuous scanning. Especially in self-service areas, Virtual Tether ensures that customers do not accidentally leave the store with the DS4678. The scanner and tether emit a warning if the scanner is out of range or untethered for a period of time.
