This compact keyboard display unit (KDU) from Zebra finally makes bulky host computers obsolete: the new ZKDU standalone keyboard is compatible with almost all Zebra EPL and ZPL desktop, industrial, mid-range and high-end printers. It is designed for versatile use and saves valuable space: the compact QWERTY keyboard is fully supported by the Zebra Barcode Designer software which allows you to call up and later print barcodes and labels directly with the device, independent of additional hardware. Once connected to a Zebra printer, access saved forms, enter variable data or print labels directly, without the need for a computer. Additional devices can be connected via a dynamic serial port: barcode readers, scales or even third-party products simplify entry, saving significant time and reducing costs. A power adapter is also not necessary, as the keyboard can use the printer's 5V power supply. Industrial, mid-range, and high-end devices require minor modification to the printer circuit board layout.
